Book Review: Reap by Tillie Cole

Reap (Scarred Souls, #2)Reap by Tillie Cole

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

**I was gifted with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review**

Reap (Scarred Souls, #2) by Tillie Cole
 BY Tillie Cole

WoW Wow Wow... First off I received this like a day before it was supposed to archive so I rushed and bought Raze and decided sleep was NOT an option. I am a fan of Tillie Cole. Her Sweet Home series is amazing and although I know this series is polar opposites in content I still needed to read it. So here I am a day or 2 after the archive date and after its been publishes with barely any sleep utterly exhausted & laking vitamin d (because i live in Alaska) but in utter amusement and in love with the characters from the Scarred Souls series. In this second installment we meet Talia & then the primal Georgian beast Zaal aka 221. The way these stories are set up and the environment is one that DUH sparks so much interest. I mean we are talking about loosing all your humanity and every memory you have and just being a cold blooded killer. The journey that Zaal takes from (lets be honest) animal to human again is really interesting and you can really feel how he sees things for the first time. Talia is wrapped up in him even though she knows they should hate each other. This was a story that wrapped me up so quick and didn't let me go until the very very end and even then I definitely was not ready to let go. SPECIALLY after the epilogue!!!! I mean how could you Tillie. Please tell me its not long until Ravage. I am impatient and I need to know the rest of the story.
Check out the Scarred Souls series:

Book Review: Dead Ringer by Jessie Rosen (Pre-Order NOW)

Dead RingerDead Ringer by Jessie Rosen

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

**I was gifted with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review**

Dead Ringer by Jessie Rosen
BYJessie Rosen

Ok more like 4 1/2 stars... The only reason why 1/2 a star is missing is because HELLO that ending was brutal. That was a cliff hanger above a sea of zombies. (yes I related it The walking dead) Ok so now about this book. This was an insane read. I started this book and was instantly drawn in and couldn't drop it for about 6 chapters. I just couldn't stop reading. Then I hit a block. Now this block I hit is more so for me and not because of the writing. So let me explain. I am hispanic & nosy as all hell so when I start getting impatient with something I take a break from it and then come back to it. So because of my characteristics I was slower in the middle of the book. Not at all because of the writing because every time I went back & picked it up I would get sucked in just a tiny bit more again and then I would get impatient with myself. Every time I would get impatient I would step away because I didn't want to be that person to skip to the end and read backward for the sake of answers. Boy am I thankful that I didn't read it backwards for answers because it made the WTF moments that much better. I found myself actually screaming "WHAT THE FUCK" at the dining room table while stuffing my face with a double cheeseburger from McDonalds so it probably sounded for like "Gwuat ga fugggg" and yeah the family looked at me like I was crazy. In that moment I knew that I needed that next book asap and that this book was awesome! this was such a good read and wow the PLOT TWIST are like WOAH I had to take a snack break to continue. This was full of mystery and the way that its written already makes your wonder "what is going on?" You are reading 3 different peoples POV. You have Laura, Charlie, & Sasha! Its up to us the reader to try to put things together. So now to the important question Jessie Rosen when is the next book coming out? Don't make us wait long. So many futures are hanging in the air and and so many pasts need to be uncovered still. Amazing ride with this one and I can't wait for the next book. So many answers!!!

DEAD RINGER WILL BE AVAILABLE ON November 11th 2015!

Book Review: "Between Now & Never" By Laura Johnston

Between Now & NeverBetween Now & Never by Laura Johnston
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Between Now & Never

****I was gifted with an ARC of this book for my honest review****

So where to begin? hmm lets start with how much I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I loved it from beginning to end. Plot twist doesn't even begin to explain what happens in this book. Like WOAH! I will not give anything away of course but wow what a great read. At the time when I got this book I was in need of a contemporary read and I got that and more. Cody & Juliana's journey together & seperate was what really made me appreciate this book. I love a good lovey story but when you have actual character development between the 2 and actual real life conflict that they must both get through on their own emotionally thats when the story really draws me in. Those are the best in my opinion. So often today contemporary love stories are so focused on getting the couple together but don't give them actual conflict and situations that they must grow from.

This book gave me everything that I look for in a contemporary read. Conflict, character development of both characters separately and together and a plot twist to give you whiplash. Thank you for letting me read this book and I hope everyone read this book because it was pretty much amazing!!! My only question would be what does Cody do with the memory card. But other then that i love love love it!

A favorite quote of mine from the book was:

"The major problem with falling is this: Its rarely a pain-free experience."

Thank you again for letting me read this!

Book Review: "Where The Road Takes Me" by Jay Mclean

Where the Road Takes MeWhere the Road Takes Me by Jay McLean
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

**I was gifted with an ARC of this book for my honest review**

WOW... So I was able to finish this book in about 2 or 3 days. This book pulled me in from the prologue. THE PROLOGUE people. I couldn't put it down. But of course we do need sleep as human beings and I am a mom of 2 kids so life happens.

So lets talk my thoughts before I started this book. I thought it would be about this couple that just go on the road together. That they just up & left for the purpose of just wanting to. Which did intrigue me I love very random spur of the moment events like that in a book. But to my surprise that wasn't the case and it was actually SO much better.

The conflict and the whole story within itself is so consuming. You feel for Chloe and for Blake and even Josh. I loved their way of clicking. How people so different and in different places in their life can still find a common ground was so beautiful. You appreciate everything. There were times when Chloe really did make me upset but at the same its part of her story. We cant ask for perfect characters. They wouldn't be lovable if they were perfect. Its the imperfections that make them more approachable or in this case relatable. I loved this whole story and Blake wow... He has became a new Book Boyfriend to add to my list. I have no shame in saying that. Thank you for that epilogue. Nowadays so many books either don't have an epilogue or leave with this rushed ending that your kind of left with questions and I didn't feel that at all. I was completely happy with it. Thank you for letting me read this.

I definitley recommend adding this book to your "TO BE READ" list... as a matter of fact if you CLICK HERE you will be taken to the contest entry to win a copy of this book. SOOO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!!

Reckless & Fearless by Priscilla West Review (from the Forever series)

Reckless (Forever, #6)Reckless by Priscilla West
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

**I was provided with an ARC by Netgalley for my honest review**

First let me say that I have quite a few books by Priscilla West on my "To be read" list but as usual, "So many books so little time..."

Secondly I also know that this book already came out in August on 2014 so I am late on picking this up and technically it shouldn't even be called an Advance Readers Copy since I am reading it now in February 2015. But what can you do... better late then never.

Thirdly here is my actual review of this book. I absolutely loved everything about this book. I loved Riley so much. You don't understand my deep love for her. She was strong & bad ass yet so vulnerable. Made me relate to her so much more. I love when characters you love actually show their flaws & weakness's. Lets not forget Jax, I mean hello wow just wow and as damaged as he is he still found a way to be desirable and lovable. I loved Sky, Kev, & Chewie they were definitely those supporting characters that you wanted to see more & you wanted them to make more & more appearances throughout. I will say Priscilla if you are reading this (not likely!!!) I would love to read more about them. Specially since you described Kev as a Ryan Gosseling look alike. I think it had all the elements of a good interesting read. It had the right characters that intrigued you, the conflict, & the plot twist to pull you in even deeper into the book. So much so that half way through reading Reckless I went online & purchased Fearless for my Nook. I wanted to be ready to start the next book. I wanted to know what was happening and how it ended. I was totally sucked in. I finished both Reckless & Fearless in 3 days. Yes its that good. I am so wrapped up in these characters that I am actually going to read the rest of this series. Incase you didn't know this is part of the Forever series. Each couple (a total of 3) has their own little standalone series so you don't really have to read the very first book in the series you can pick up whichever couple you would like to read about & then pick up the first book in their miniserisePriscilla WestReckless. In my case I was given this one so I read it but I am going to pick up the other 2 miniseries so I can have the whole Forever series read. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this book and I look forward to reading the others!

A little Book Update for you all "One of The Guys" by Lisa Aldin

This book will be released this month and as a lover of contemporaries I recommend this 100 PERCENT!
One of the GuysOne of the Guys by Lisa Aldin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

* I was gifted with an ARC by the publicist in exchange for an honest review*

This book was absolutely riveting. I loved the quirky approach to the characters relationship with one another. What connected them was so different and I definitely was drawn in because of that. The history they had and how far back it went was so fun to hear through different breaks of reminiscing. McRib (Tonya) is a character that I thoroughly enjoyed. I think its great when a character can prove that she can be one of the girls & one of the boys. I definitely felt like I related to her because she didn’t want things to change and she didn’t want anyone to change but the reality is that we change everyday. I myself have felt that more times then we are human beings wish to admit. Cant leave out the element of this book that draws you in deeper then it already has and thats the connection between Micah & Tonya. I rooted for them and I am extremely happy with the ending. Left me wanting to read more about Tonya & Micah & heck I want to hear more about Ollie & Emma. Cant forget our shy Cowboy either so glad he finally got the courage to talk to Kate. I am left wanting more from this story. I loved it all. Thank you for letting me read this.
